We got our Letter of Acceptance about November 16th which was very exciting. We immediately signed everything, filled out every form and fedexed it back the same day it was received. The paperwork was then sent to NBC - National Benefits Center for approval. Despite a slight hiccup over some paper formatting, we were approved December 10th and our paperwork was subsequently "cabled" to the National Visa Center. Today we have learned that our Article 5 letter has been signed and our Letter of Acceptance has been sent to the CCAA - Chinese Center for Adoption Affairs. We wait to receive our Invitation to Travel (Travel Approval or TA) from them.
After our Letter of Acceptance I sent another care package. There is a photo of the items included in the care package which included a soft blanket, a backpack with a stuffed pig on the back (he was born in the year of the pig), an airplane toy, tea, cookies and candy for his caretakers, a stuffed panda toy and a cake which he received. Today we received these updated photos taken of him when he received the care package. He is so cute. We cannot wait to travel to China to meet our son.
